Hello Darkness, My Old Friend
Today started out just as an average Tuesday; a depressingly dreary June morning, an uneventful yet monotonous commute, and the air of the unspectacular that typically makes Tuesdays on the low, even worse than Mondays.
There was desperate need for something, anything, to shake off the doldrums. And then, something wonderful happened.
Georgetown and Syracuse announce a renewing of the rivalry in 2015-16. Hoyas will host in 2015-16, Orange in 2016-17.

I’ve written previously about the scourge that is Georgetown here, so my thoughts on them are well known. I must confess the one thing I did miss during Syracuse’s first season in the ACC was the chance to bend the moral arc of the universe further towards justice by destroying the Hoyas.
As much as Duke (quite ably) filled the role of a despicably entitled, elitist, and delusional fan base riding the coattails of past accomplishments and media hype, it always felt like we were merely aiding North Carolina’s noble quest to clean up the triangle and college basketball. This is our appointed mission for the ages, and while I am worried about scheduling a mid-major and dropping our strength of schedule, for the sake of freedom, the rivalry is finally back on.
